Summary Minutes:

1)The Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit will be Thursday – Saturday, June 14-16 at Googleplex in Mountain View, CA. First day will be a plenary session with keynotes and a panel discussion in the afternoon and breakout sessions around issues of general interest to a broad number of people.

Second day will be for council meetings and focus groups. Third day will be for technical workgroup topics.

2)The council generally agreed that some degree of formality is necessary to avoid covering ground repeatedly and not being directed or productive, but it should be light weight with little overhead.

3)The Groups (Kavi) site will be archived and shutdown at the end of the month.

4)We had a long discussion about how the council should what to work on. Some proposed having some time to discuss what the high-level issues we want to cooperate on are and use that outcome to drive a later discussion on what's important to collaborate on. Another approach is to quick identify what are the top 3 – 5 things the group wants to address and then to work with LF to find a way to provide resources.

Action Items

1)Tom – Send early draft of planning for some of the collaboration summit breakout sessions.

2)Tom, Joe – Work to set up a server focus group meeting.
